8th Math Syllabus:
As we move through the year we will be covering the following topics:
Trimester 1
1 Equations
2 Transformations
3 Angles and Triangles
Trimester 2
4 Graphing and Writing Linear Equations
5 Systems of Linear Equations
6 Functions
Trimester 3
7 Real Numbers and the Pythagorean Theorem
8 Volume and Similar Solids
9 Data Analysis and Displays
10 Exponents and Scientific Notation
Students will be graded on daily assignments, quizzes, and chapter tests.
Grades will be recorded at least twice a week and may be reviewed on the JMC.
Proficiency is a goal for all students! I will be available to work with students either before school or during 4th period. Please feel free to contact me for specific needs or times.
